Can a Single hen have multiple broods in a season"?

i didnt think they could but my friends kind of got me wondering because they beleive they can so let me ask, if a hen is bred lays here eggs hatches them and they make it to fly up time will she rebreed with a tom and lay more eggs and attempt to hatch a second brood? and if she can what do her poults do when she sits on the nest at night huddle around her, or fly up because they are old enough to be roosting in trees?

There has been one report of a hen hatching and nesting again.  She lost the first brood.
