If anyone of you guy's are willing to share some info on these two areas I'd be greatly appreciative. I'm heading out to North Central KS and wanted to add Wyoming and possibly South Dakota to the trip. Plan to be out there mid May. With over 1 million acres I'm over whelmed with picking an area. I'm not looking for anyone's personal honey hole. I would appreciate some general areas to start looking at via goggle earth and narrow down the best place to stay.

It's my understanding SD turkey numbers are down but haven't seen any recent numbers for the last few years. I'm reading mixed reports so I'm a bit confused on if there are good numbers or poor numbers. Sounds like WY numbers are still good from what I can find. With a one bird limit via general tag it seems like there should be ample opportunity in each state.

From my research already looks like Sundance would put me dead center of the two different parcels of NF in WY. South Dakota has a lot of options so I know I need to pick one area to focus on. Feel free to PM me if you don't care to list the info publicly.

Call the local DNR officer in the state. In other states I have hunted they gave me great information.

Not trying to hijack your thread Squeaky but I am in the exact same boat as you are...looking to head to the Black Hills maybe the 2nd or 3rd week of May.  I've never hunted out of state before so this will be a new experience for me altogether.  And just the amount of acreage alone is very overwhelming to try and figure out as to where to start. So I too would appreciate any and all help anyone would care to share.  You can PM me if that is preferable (I understand you might not want to give stuff away to just the looky loos).  Thanks in advance.
