Hey guys and gals,

I know this is a long shot. But with the approaching 2016 Spring Turkey Season... I have found myself without anywhere to hunt.

I have recently relocated to Charlotte NC for work, and I am afraid i will not have anywhere to hunt this season.

Only interested in Turkey hunting.

Do any of you here have any club memberships available, private lease opportunities, or suggestions on where I should begin my search?

Thanks very much in advance!

Lot of clubs along the NC/SC border within quick drive of NC.

Most places will not sell you a membership for turkey only; they want full price for a deer/turkey membership.  Start googling for hunt clubs along that SC/NC line and you'll have no trouble.

Check Craigslist, put out an ad, you should get some hits.  A few years ago work had me living in Charlotte for the first six months of the year.  I put out an ad and talked to quite a few gents who were willing to lease short term. Good luck...

It's a little down the road, but there's a few thousand acres around Clemson called Fants Grove which is open to the public.  It's been almost six years since I've lived there, but when I did I hunted it quite a bit. If you don't find something private and more local, it may be worth a shot. Let me know if you'd like more details... Happy to share what I know from hunting there.

Fants is my back yard, it's a good 2 hours from here to Charlotte, there are game management areas much closer to you than that.  Contact DNR and I'm sure they'd be willing to help as to the ones closest to you...
