The Cohutta Strutter

I tell ya that Hugh Glass feller had some kind of tough luck didn't he? Even though some parts were fictional it was still a remarkable account of one person's will to just keep breathing !
Anybody seen America lately?

It's amazing what the human body can endure. Add a strong will to live, and sometimes we're capable of almost superhuman feats.

Call 'em close, It's the most fun you'll ever have doing the right thing.

Spitten and drummen

It was insane what he went through. The scenery in that movie was awsome. The grizzly attack was brutal. To live in that day and time and in that environment,  you definately had to be a hard person. No wonder the life span was not that long then. If you lived to be 40 , you was a senior citizen lol.

Very good movie!  I agree the scenery was amazing!!  I seen on the news this morning that leonardo dicaprio ate raw liver in the movie and insisted on it to help give to the realism.  Very good movie!!

Your weapon sits on top of you shoulders, everything else is just equipment.

I hope a face full of #5s slows a bear down. Once walking in at first light in Pa. I was walking in on a bunch of birds going good on there roost. Then it happened,I had a close encounter with a sow and Cubs. I was able too moon walk outta there  :jackson: if the wind wasn't in my favor it may have been a different story. The scene in that movie of the bear attack, made the hair on the back of my neck stand! Scary stuff!

I read the book and thought it was good....up until the ending.  Felt like a huge letdown.  Haven't seen the movie yet.

Especially when Hollywood gets a hold of the story.
Too much stretching reality and Hollywood for me to like it. I suppose it was entertaining and that is what Hollywood goes for. Forget about the facts and what really happened. I do know the real Hugh Glass wd not have survived what Hollywood did to him . Too bad because his was truly one of the most remarkable survival stories ever. Btw, I thought bears hibernate in the winter. ........and I suppose hypothermia didn't affect mountain men...
I believe the actual bear attack occurred in August and it took him a couple months to get back and even longer to get his gin back from Fitzgerald.
I guess if I werent a history teacher I could have enjoyed the movie better.
