Bud and Betty calls

Any body got the newer glass and Crystal calls. Wondered how good they sound. I was thinking of ordering from Midwest. Bud and Betty website seems to be down for the last month at least.

I have one of each and two of the crystal and aluminum, the aluminum is a killer, crystal is real good, I might could be talked out of my backup crystal, the aluminum tones down real nice for that soft raspy yelp, paired with one of pappy's ivory tipped strikers it is one of the better calls I own.

Never been impressed with his glass calls but he makes a screaming slate with walnut.

Here are older glass and slate pot calls made by Russell and some of his strikers. I called in several gobblers with both calls before retiring them. They would rank with the better pot calls being made today. I am not sure when he stopped making this style.
