My Christmas Gifts from the wife

So I dropped a few custom calls names around my wife and she came through for my Christmas. I got a Lonnie Sneed Hot Hen and a Mark Mcphail Wise Old Owl trough call. The difference in these two calls and production calls are really surprising. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to turkey hunting and calls so I need a lot of practice but these calls really sound great to me. These are my first custom calls and I think I made a great choice. I can't wait to get in the woods with them. I also feel like this won't be the last of my custom call purchases.

Thanks! One of your scratch boxes is on the list for sure. Does anyone have a suggestion on a custom striker maker? I love the strikers they came with but would like to try some different ones out.

These guys all make great strikers  but they are quite different in terms of design and size.  One of the things you'll want to figure out is what style you like.  Keep an eye on the classifieds section of this site, quite a few good strikers come through from time to time.

He was the first guy to reply to this thread. He makes a great striker I have three of them. I also have a bunch of Bill Lyman strikers and they are top both as well.
