Finally got a turkey quarter last week.

I didn't even know they were out there until a fine gentlemen named Danny Wells sent me an uncirculated one. Cool stuff and congrats!

I havent seen one yet.  Are they in circulation for just this year?

It's part of a set for public land. I can't recall all the details but the turkey quarter is for land in Louisiana. I think I saw a 2015 quarter for the Blue Ridge Parkway at the same time too but I was to happy about my turkey quarter to look that close. I did know they were going to have the turkey quarter so I have been looking.

I didn't know they were making them until a couple weeks ago. I got 3 or 4 brand new ones here in MT within a couple days.  I've never been too much of a collector so I think they went right into my son's coin jar
