i recently got a new super black eagle2 steady grip, although i had shot it some with the factory chokes,i had not got to try any turkey chokes
yet.got a rob roberts .655 in the mail yesterday and went and tried it out today.every different shell i shot was with in a couple inches from point of aim, with several dead on with the factory bead.even though im going to be putting a ff3 on it this still tickles me to death, after hearing some of the horrer stories with these with poa/poi i can happily say mine with the factory chokes and this new RR is pretty much
perfect.it also shot some great patterns today, longbeard 3 1/2 6 shot put up 290 in a ten inch circle at 40,the 30 yard on these was awsome as well, but at twenty it was extremely tight,a hole the size of a golf ball with some shot out to about 8 inches.i never shoot a bird past 40,and rarely past 30 but i thought i would just play around and see what kind of patterns it would get at long ranges although i will never shoot a bird this far no matter
what.it was impressive 15 yards on past the 40 it was still putting 176 in a ten inch circle, although alot of the shot was stickng in the wood behind the paper. long beard 3 1/2 5 shot was doing 220 at 40 in the 10. i also tried some hevi 13 3inch 6 shot and although it didnt get as high numbers (168 in 10) it had a good even pattern all around, and the 20,30 yards looked great to.also shot some fed 3 inch heavy weight7 shot,it made a good even pattern that was spread out more than the others. over all im real pleased with my new gun,i also put a limbsaver recoil pad, i never realized what a difference one of those would make,i got it on sale for 21 dollars and let me tell you it was well worth it. even though i could use the bead to hunt with, ive always wanted to try a fast fire and ill be putting one of these on it before long,im sure ill like it but if something happens that i dont,i can always switch it out with the tri- viz sights i've shot for years on my nova.(im really use them).sorry for rambling on,but i was pretty happy with my new gun today, and im always on here reading things so i thought i would just share.thanks
