Congrats! I have an old Savage Arms Stevens model I killed my first turkey with that I haven't hunted with in years. Need to break it out.

Singles carry nice. look for and old Savage 220/219 hammer less single, they a sweet shooters, cock on opening like a S/S, have slide safety. If your real lucky you may even find one as a combo with a rifle barrel, most likely .30-30 or .22 Hornet.
