I plan on picking up a new SBE2 12 ga, 26" barrel in M/O Bottomland as an extra gun for when my oldest son (F-16 pilot) visits Thanksgiving/Christmas. Two questions: How is the POA/POI with regular Crio-chokes and game/skeet loads and how is POA/POI with custom turkey chokes and Hevi-13 or Win LB loads? Thanks!

At one point there were some problems with POA/POI with SBE & SBE II shotguns. Most shot low. Benelli seems to have resolved that problem...for the most part with those guns. You may see some differences in POI with different chokes and different shells, as you would with any other gun. The velocity and payload of shells can influence this as can the differences in the designs of the chokes you use. I don't think you'll see any more difference in the SBE II and most other guns with different chokes and guns.

Thanks,
Clark

P.S. As an aside, I was very pleasantly surprised recently when my Benelli Vinci with a JEB's .650 choke shot to the same POI with both the new Magnum Blend shells with #4, #5 & #7 shot and the 3rd Degree shells with #5, #6 & #7 shot.

No issues with mine.  It shoots dead on with factory bead with every choke that I have put in it.  Factory chokes and Rob Roberts chokes.  Best gun on the market IMO!

Clark/Taylor, Thanks for the replies. My oldest boy shoots an M2 and all the rest of the family shoots SBE 1s. Clark, you are dead on with the low POA/POI. It seems the SBE 2s had some issues from 2010 thru 2012. You clinched the deal for me! Kyle will love it for pheasant hunting and it will give me an additional turkey gun when I take others out. Thanks so much! Steve

An F-16 pilot definitely deserves what ever gun he want's , get him the sbe2, I love mine it shoots great. Tip of the hat to him :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an  :icon_thumright:

That gun should like the B shim, Jellyhead or Rhino in .660, also the HS choke, and 3" Magnum Blend...that was the best combo I could find for my SBE II....
