I love the way a maccasar and a rosewood sounds on glass/crystal calls. I use Derrick stuckeys one piece and they definitely bring out the best in my calls. This is just my opinion . We all have a different ear for what we like , so I would imagine you are going to get several opinions. Remember though that what we like the sound of , the birds may not. I have ran strikers that I didn't care for because my favorites wasn't getting it done , only to find the birds loved them. Find several different ones you like and use them all. The more confidence you have in them , the better they will sound.
