Just got permission to hunt a large field. I located multiple gobblers deep in the thick woods down a logging road. The land owner told me that the turkey always come out of the logging road, through the large field and across the road. I believe they are a least 100-150 yards in the woods. My question is should I walk in the woods to locate them and move closer then setup on them or should I stay at the edge of the field to set my blind up and call to bring them out of the woods?  :OGani:

Set up blind where the turkeys most often enter field, set out decoys

The field is kind of irrelevant. If you know the roost and path of travel from it, what are the blind and dekes for? Get in their way, call 'em over and kill 'em.

The man said he had permission to hunt afield, turks roosted 150 yds away. Having permission to hunt a field the blond hides you from all turkeys not just gobblers, able to hunt field all season without to much pressure or what ever  you choose to. Call

I would try to be were the birds are entering the field and set up just out of sight were you can just see them enter .Dutch

100-150 yards is plenty close to a turkey.  I have called one from a half a mile.  Call them.
