Building a 20 gauge OU

Greetings from the hills of North Alabama! I'm new to the forum and need some  20 ga help. I'll be "building " a CZ reduced length  Redhead 20 gauge with 24" barrels. I need choke advise , I'll be shooting TSS 8s and /or 9s, possibly Federal heavy 7s  as well. Looking  at the Carlson .575 for the top barrel will probably shoot the factory modified in the lower barrel. I would prefer a flush choke.  What say ya'll?

Looking to either cerakote  or camo dip. I'm unsure what to do with the wood.  Again , what  say ya'll?

Other suggestions are welcomed, as my goal is to build the ultimate mountain shotgun, short, light and deadly.

I carry a beretta onyx 20ga 26" bbls that shoots a heck of a pattern with both turkey thug 5s and hevi shot 6s using tight wad chokes. I couldn't bring myself to paint it as it's also my bird gun, so I used some vinyl tape. I'll be interested to see how much residue is left when I pull it off

Spray with WD-40 before you cover with tape and you wont be worried about residue. Go ahead and spray with WD-40 when you do peel it down and the residue will come off.

I've never dipped or Ceracoted, but have used shake and spray Rustoleum effectively which surprisingly has held up over several seasons.  However, if you are looking for something more durable than dipping and is a  diy coating, Duracoat makes a two-part paint that now comes in a "shake and spray" kit that is easily applied without the need for a compressor and air brush.  I haven't used it on wood surfaces, but I understand that it is a flexible coating which would make it ideal on wood if the wood gets dinged.

  I shoot a tristar  O/U in 20 gauge .... weighs 6 pounds and points great .....tightwad choke in top barrel and a modified in the lower.  the upper likes Mag Blends and still patterns lead good enough to be a consistent killer at 35 yds..... with the Hevi Shot  it's good a little past 40.....

I shoot lead 6's  with modified choke in the lower barrel.... great for those close shots inside 25 yds.......however it dropped a 35 yard bird in Nebraska last year when I didn't select the right barrel.

I guess the shot is tight enough exiting the barrel, but I'm always concerned when shooting a flush choke next to an extended choke. I assume you've had no problems?

 Ive shot dozens of rounds through my  My fabarms 12 gauge ,,,, with a trulock extended choke ....and six  birds were shot last year with the  20 gauge.... no issues just dead turkeys
