I have been lucky...if you want to call it that to have seen this a few times. The first was a jake that I guess did not know what to do with my decoy so he started doeing that wings down half strut running in place thing.
However, I also had a 2+ year old gobbler do this once. He was follwing 3 hens and skirted me in a clear cut. when he saw my decoy he did not come closer he just paused and stayed in strutt for a bit then started the whole spankin it dance.
Do you know if this is more common for jakes to do or will all age class gobblers do this when hens ignore them? How rare is this to see?
