First time on the forum so move me if I need moved. I am just getting back into turkey hunting. My only shotgun is my mossberg 835 water fowl gun. It has the 28 inch barrel on it. I didnt think about the choke until I patterned it with turkey loads. It has the IC choke it came with that is awesome for pheasants. 30 yards with turkey load only hit turkey head with 3 pellets. I need a choke for turkeys. My question is, every time I read about turkey chokes they have them on the short barrel 835. Does barrel length effect the pattern with the same choke?

:welcomeOG: Welcome to the forum, but you are in the wrong area to ask a question about your setup.  I would have went to the turkey gun section.  You are posting in the choke tube classifieds section.
You will find darned near every bit of information you will need on "Old Gobbler"

You're 28" will be fine.  That part is personal preference.  You definitely want to find a tighter choke for your rig.  Make sure that you find a choke and shell combination that will produce killing patterns at known distances.  There are some chokes in the classifieds right now that will beat the tar out of your Improved Cylinder.  Clean your gun, get some big pieces of paper \ cardboard and shoot at a dot to make sure your point of aim (POA) and point of impact (POI) are in sync with each other.  Good luck this season.
Can't kill'em from the couch!!!!

Well if anyone wants to offer me a reasonable priced choke so I don't have to sift through pages of  classifieds. I am at work with limited internet for another 11 days.6
