Since yesterday was my birthday I thought I should give everyone a gift. I downloaded E.A. McIlhenny's book "The Wild Turkey and Its Hunting" from Google Books and saved it to my computer as a pdf. I have been reading parts of this book annually almost since I started turkey hunting and have found the words of Charles L. Jordan to keep me focused on what I am about as much as anything else I have encountered, with the exception of my close relationship with Kenny Morgan.
Tom Kelly in his book, "A Few Loose Chapters" has a chapter entitled "Confidence". In that chapter, the Colonel describes the impact that pages 188-212 of the book had on his turkey hunting prowess and he chastises severely anyone who has not read the book. I am in full agreement with the Colonel.
