Gobble!

Whats everyone opinion? Is it really needed because these sights are sensitive or can they actually survive your normal weigh and tear during a turkey season? I like to think I'm pretty easy on my gun but don't want one fall to ruin the sight. Probably going to order one just wanting to hear others thoughts.
Appreciate it.

I have run a FF2 on my mossburg for three years. I usually hunt 3 to 4 states and its done fine with no protector. I just put a FF3 on my benelli and I plan on running it just like the other. I believe they are a lot more durable than they appear to be. Just my opinion !
Thanks, RP

My opinion is that one can't be too protective of a $200 electronic sight so I mounted my FastFire 3 on a Burris Picatinny Protector.

I've always used protectors with my FF 2 & 3...

Based on the dings I see on the protector, I'd say they are a good idea...

I did break a FF 2, even with the protector...I don't think they can be that tough for the price....some sort of protection makes sense to me...

Beating it to death, GET A PICATINNY PROTECTOR!!!!

Not to babysit my dang sight!
Get the protector. It's money well spent for
Peace of mind.
Be the type of person your dog thinks you are.

I just picked one up on Amazon for my ff3. I like the way they look and it seems to offer good protection. You can still use the cover with it too if you like the cover.

Made the decision to play it safe. Found one brand new for $59 on ebay. There are 10 left if anyone is looking, thats the best price I found.

I bought the protector mount and a 336 base for my Benelli.  It turns out that you cannot run both.  The 336 does not have any slots for the protector mount.  I will choose to run the protector mount to protect the sight and mount onto my weaver base. I wish I would have known that before I bought the Marlin 336 base.
