Need advice on a choke for fed heavyweight

I really like the 15g/cc that the federal heavyweight has. I've already got a great setup with hevi 7s and that's what I'm hunting with but I also would like to get a set up for my 835 with the heavyweights. I just need some advice on a non ported choke (brand, constriction) for shooting 3 1/2" 7s. I know I need one without the wad stripping tech. Thanks for any input

I shot them out of a factory full barrel, they do good and kill real good.I would say a good under taker choke, hastings etc. will work. Tru lock and sumtoy make custom one to match your set up. Do not squeeze  them too tight, a full or extra should be good.
Hunt every day as if it were your last.

Gobble!

Nothing like seeing a kids eyes light up upon hearing that first gobble.

After trying many chokes in an attempt to get a decent pattern, I settled with the Choke made by George Truelock. Out of my 3" 11-87 with a 21" barrel I can get 180ish an the magical 10". And out of my 3.5" 11-87 with the 23" I am  able to get 200 ish. This with the Federal Heviweight #7 shot. Now the #6 shot does okay also.
Don't gobble at me...

What's the constriction on those?

I shoot a PureGold .670 with the federal hw 7s. Shoots great with a 28 inch barrel.

I shoot a Trulock in my 870 and it throws a pretty good pattern.  I'll tell you right now you don't need 200 in a10" circle to kill birds with these at any reasonable range.  I misjudged one pretty bad in a field this year and those HW 7's hammered him anyway.  They hit so hard even body hits will be lethal if they hit the right spot.

I shoot this shell in all 4 of my turkey guns. The trulock works well in the 870 but trulock doesnt make a HW designated choke for the 835 or 935.  You can use the trulock .680 as a good choice. I've tried these chokes in my 835 and 935 with good results: Im talking 150 + all the way up to 180 +/-  in the 10" and even coverage: Carlson's .675 unported, hevi-13 .676 ported, original truglo gobbler stopper unported .679 , Rob Roberts .680 unported. But...The choke I choose to use in both my Mossberg Ulti-mag guns is the Truglo Strut Stopper Xtreme (SSX) .670. Both the 835 and 935 throw killer patterns with the 3.5" HW7's and the SSX. I know this is a ported choke but the design places the ports outside of the constricted portion of the choke and it throws a great pattern with the federal shells

Call Gobbler guns/Rob Roberts gunworks and talk to either Rob or Jonathon @877-251-9955 more than likely they will be able to help.....they are really good about sending /swapping chokes to help u achieve the best pattern.
