I am not sure if this helped my post season blues, or threw gas on the fire and made my blues even worse, i think it did both.  Anyway, this is how I spent my afternoon.   I thawed out my fan, cut my spurs and am letting everything dry for a fan mount on this years first bird.  I had already had the beard in Borax.    This turned out to be my best bird to date.  In amonth or so, I'll post the pics of the finished fan mount.  Here is the end result of today.  I'm going to incorporate the spent shell on the plaque when I'm done as well.

That's something I need to get started on, I just keep putting it off.

I got bored and started on mine too.  I've already got it bondo'd up and It's ready for the wood when it comes in from Mudpuppi.  I pulled the feathers so I didn't have to mess with borax and drying time.

Finished up my fan mount today. This bird being my best I registered it with the NWTF, and I framed the certificate and hung it under the mount. I'm already counting down until next spring.

Is it turkey season yet? I love the sound of thunder chickens in the morning...

Look's real good Shane.   Hey, maybe you could hang it in that bar on the river that Tracey had a couple of his fan's hanging. lol   I wonder if that place is still there.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.  Dan that bar is still there but Tracey's stuff is no longer in there.  Some young girl baught the palce, and there is nothing really outdoor oriented in there any more.
