DSD here as well.   Great looking decoys.

MTN Gobbler....I'm not far from you.  I hunt the mountains of southwest Virginia and the state of West Virginia.  Hunting the mountains and steep hollers is why I have chosen to go with the Avian as well.   However if I hunted fields a lot I would give DSD a serious look.  I also get the same enjoyment out of hunting the mountains as you stated...running and gunning I love it!!

Watching them strut acrossed an open field is great and all but nothing beats working birds in the timber!

daymude7288....I agree nothing like it!  It's awesome and I think God he blesses me to be able to see it and hear it every spring!!

God bless

One of the things I enjoy most about turkey hunting is the freedom of moving and calling.  Those dekes are awesome looking but I prefer a more minimalist approach.
That said, I may have to try one.  I think it could be a real help on some of the out of state hunts where unfamiliarity with the area tends to keep me at a spot longer.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

I started out hunting WMA's in FLA, which means finding a likely spot and setting for a while. Those pressured public Osceolas don't gobble as much once the crowds hit the woods, and there are Walking Wally's everywhere.
Over the years I've upgraded my decoys, and my hunting areas. I went from the old hard shelled Flambeau's, to the fold up foam ones, and finally the last few years have been using the Cherokee Sports inflatables with the A-Way Turkey Skinz over them. Those dekes with the skinz are incredible looking, and many a gobbler has been fooled by their realism.
But the skinz aren't very durable, and stray pellets do a number on the inflatables. So this year, I'm finally taking the plunge and getting a couple of DSD's to go along with my Primos B-Mobile with a real fan. I'm getting the DSD feeding hen and upright hen. I'm already used to toting around B-Mobile and the inflated inflatables in the early season, so non-collapsing DSD's won't be a big deal for me.
I'm excited to try the DSD's out!! :icon_thumright: For me, when using decoys, it's all about realism, and DSD's look a lot better than anything else, even the Avians.

Love my DSD. No issues running and gunning with it.
