Little Help with NE spring bow gobblers?

I decided to try and add NE to my spring archery hunt this year. I have never set foot in the state but will be in central KS around April 8-12. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on public land. I am looking at the Swanson Lake area to start but will listen to any alternatives. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
