I used to visit Uncle Lee's whenever I was in the area. It was, on a grander scale, much like the old hardware stores that I remember as a kid. A little bit of everything and a lot of inventory (cash) setting on the showroom floor. It's hard to make money with that kind of store today, especially in such a small community.
It's the passing of another institution but when you see a major international conglomerate like ATK giving up (giving away) their entire consumer ammo, gun and sporting goods division, it's really no surprise.
