After missing one in PA while visiting my folks I had a pretty good season (for me) in Maine.  Got a nice two year old last Wednesday before work and finished up with another one on Monday before work again (it's nice that shooting hours start here at 4:45 AM).

They were almost identical birds.

19.5 lbs, 9 inch beard, 7/8 inch spurs

19.0 lbs, 9.5 inch beard, 3/4 inch spurs

I still get to call for my buddy who hasn't been able to get out as much as I have.
I love golf.  It keeps a lot of people out of the turkey woods.

Congrats on the birds. :icon_thumright:
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Nice job. The birds in York County were way behind. They have heated up some now but have been pounded hard around here and are pretty shy. Getting 2 birds in Maine is a feat.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
