These were the first two custom calls I ever owned. I met Russell Lynch, Bud & Betty Calls, at a state wildlife expo show and bought them from him in the late 90s. Up until then I had been perfectly content to hunt with production type calls I bought at Walmart. Little did I know where these would lead. They called in several birds before I retired them a few years ago. I don't think Russell makes this style call now with the glass/feather showing on the back.
