Worst Season Ever - Making Me Nuts

Yesterday I heard 3 birds in Jeff. Co., WV.  I set up on one and he gobbled to me on the tree and on the ground and then marched away in the direction of one of the other birds that was gobbling.  Acted like birds at the end of the season when they are trying to get back together.  The night before there was a big thunderstorm, maybe they got separated.  Went back today, very windy, but heard nothing.

Se Ohio has been rough too. Ditto what's been said. I've never experienced this since I started hunting turkeys in the late 80's. I actually went 8 days of hunting, starting the first day without setting up on a bird. Didn't hear the first gobble till day 7. Now as been said, gobbling stops before 7am. Gotta get better, but only have a week left.

My worst season ever and the late season five minute gobbler left me feeling rather cheated.  Worked only two turkeys all season.  It happens.

Got him fired up with my Spring Creek Purple Heart over cedar, finished him off with the ever so sexy Lonnie Snead slate and Hooks executioner. Awesome hunt. Keep after it, sooner or later it happens
