Killed my first bird of the season Friday afternoon after hunting for several weekends. Well went out and killed #2 this morning. Great beard, one decent spur, and a broken leg on the other side with the spur missing. Found some shot and infection in the bad leg, the spur cap had either fallen or been shot off. Would have been an upgrade if he had matched up but what was left was only the actual bone underneath at like 1/2" or something. Headed out west in 2 weeks hopefully more potential upgrades to come.
