Just seeing what everybody is having luck with. Choke shell combo on a maxus? Mine is a 3" gun.

My browning maxus shoots a Indian Creek 665 with hevi 13, 7 shot.Average 210 in a 10 " circle.

I don't have a maxus ( yet) but I do have a BPS and an A5 Japan model. Both take invector+ chokes. I have a 15 plus year old ballistic specialties .665 turkey choke that is my favorite. It patterns well in both guns. They're about 80 bucks and no fancy porting but they work plain and simple.

My maxus gets about 250 in the ten with hevi 6's  3.5" with the hevi choke . Very even pattern too.

Thanks for the posts guys. I have a kicks .670 and old truglo bansner choke.665. The bansner is the winner between the two with lead or hevi in my gun. But keep um coming guys. Im gonna end up running hevi 7 3" in it as I do my other gun.

Indian Creek .665 or.675 and Hevi #7's. I've also shot some awesome patterns with a Pure Gold .670 but they were not as consistent  as the Indian Creek patterns.

I patterened my gun with the ballistic specialties choke and 3 1/2" long beards 5 shot. Had 76 in the head @ 40 yds. I've never seen anything pattern like that

Anyone else care to share

That gun has become very popular in the last 6 months. I've had more inquiries about it than I've seen the last couple of years. There are of course a wide variety of Invector+ chokes but I've always relied upon the recommendation of the design engineer for that gun.

He recommends the Browning Full Strut Turkey choke with an exit diameter of .640. It is an excellent choke tube but very expensive, about $120.00 and many times very hard to find. My readers have used the SSX with an e.d. of .643 with great levels of success with that gun, as have I as well.

Both of those chokes work very well with #7 shot Hevi-13 shells.

Thanks,
Clark
