I agree I think the two shells you mention, Longbeards for lead shot and FCW Heavyweight for heavier than lead shot are going to be your best bet for good patterns out of a more open choke.  They both use a non standard technology to improve patterns thru more open chokes.  I would also recommend using the smallest shot available, #6 in Longbeards and #7 in FCW to keep the pellet counts up.

What do the LB patterns look like at 20 and 30 with a factory full choke?  More open?

Having problems finding both the fcw #7 and longbeards around me but can get mag blends ....what do u guys think are they worth the $30 if they are getting shot through a full choke tube ?

You won't know until you shoot one or more on paper.  when paterning turkey loads remember the proof is in the pudding and the pudding has to be spread on the pattern board.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I love golf.  It keeps a lot of people out of the turkey woods.

I don't have any pattern pictures but back in the late 80's and early 90's all I shot out of my 835 was the flush full and Federal Premium 3.5 inch 2.25 oz. #6's and killed plenty of birds out to 40 yards.

I got some turkey thugs 3" #6 I am gonna see how they pattern out of my gun ...they do good out of my 870 super mag with gobbler stopper

My Citori is .685 and .705. Curious to see the LB's will shoot. Anyone shot the LB's in a factory fixed full choke?
