Got up this morning shook off the bad mojo from yesterday's miss and changed gears! Went to the same property but changed my game plan. I was not real sure wher all of the Gobblers were roosting on this ground and decided to wait at truck till grey light. Good move for me as a group of Gobblers were 200 yards from me, snuck into 100 yards set up and gave em some love talk. To say they ate it up is a understatement sounded like 5-6 birds, when they hit the ground they shut up... Hmm? Hens? Then they gobbled 150 yards out and at the edge of a field.... To my left a hen starts yelping long and loud 20-25 yelps in a row, they go nuts. This kept up for 10 min, I figured I may as well join the party so I start cutting and yelping long and loud! The Gobblers went nuts 5 min latter they come in. 4 Longbeards single file, after doing a quick check of them I pick the bird doing the strutting and pull the trigger! 22lbs 10" beard 1-1/16 spurs.......6:48am. Will post pics when I get a chance as I went fishing after soooo need some sleep. Can't wIt till Saturday as my daughter will be joining me and am thinking I have a plan for the other 3 Longbeards !.

Genesis 27:3 - Now then, get your weapons—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
