I leaned my shotgun against a tree yesterday morning and when I went to sit down I knocked it over. It landed perfectly wrong right on top of the rear Williams Fire Sight. Bark was wedged into the channel that the fiber optic sits in, snapping it in half. I could still aim, but the left side no longer glowed.
I've had these sights on my gun for at least 3 or 4 years and have really liked them. I decided I'd call Williams to see what I could do to fix it. I talked to a guy named Steve. He was super nice and immediately offered to send a replacement fiber optic rod so I could fix it. He said breaking the rear f.o. didn't happen often. He then talked to me for a couple minutes about how my turkey season was going. It's rare to get someone who acts like they care about the product, let alone someone who cares what you are doing with it.
Needless to say, I'm very impressed with the product and service. I like to acknowledge when this happens and give credit where it's due...so here it is.
