Arkansas opening evening gobbler

Opening afternoon gobbler. 20 pounds, 8.25 inch beard, .75 inch spurs. I just love hunting turkey's in the afternoon. Sat where my dad and uncle heard some this morning. Set up a decoy at 25 yards. After 30 minutes of calling I heard foot steps followed by drumming. Bird never gobbled. I spotted him at 45 yards strutting. Watched him work to 35 yards and popped him. 5:45 pm. I love afternoon hunting.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons. However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
