Just curious, when you use a strutting gobbler deke do you prefer a full fan or a jake fan?

I've always used a full fan. I have had success with it. More importantly than which fan for me has been the fan position. Some days they like it just like a strutting bird some days the like it about 3 o clock position. Other times they like it at the 12 o clock position. Some days it seems it doesn't even matter and you could walk up to them.

Full fan. I only use a strutter early in the season when the birds are still grouped up, or still in bachelor groups. Once they begin breaking up, I go to a jake and hens, or just hen decoys.

Does anyone seriously believe that turkeys know whether a decoy is sporting a jake fan as opposed to a full fan?
