Hello all
Picked up a stuffer deke from Mr. Slaton. Liked to hear from guys dealing with transporting these in the field. Pics of boxes made etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I have had two stuffer hens for years, they are way more durable than most think, I do not have a bag or box I simply carry them, one has a wood base and if I am packing far I strap it to my pack!

I normally bowhunt so I am always packing a blind and have no problem toting the dekes around, they are simply amazing how well they work! Most of the birds I shoot are inside 10 yards, my wife shot hers at 6 yards last year right off the decoys back, Guillotine to da face :OGturkeyhead:

Thanks man for your response. I'm hoping they're durable. I keep hearing about feathers coming off.. etc. The neck is a bit fragile as are the legs tho' the legs will be fine as long as I'm careful.

I cut the legs off one and just push it into the dirt with the support rod, the gobblers love the one like that, looks like a breeder or submissive, the hens always head straight to her as well and beat her up!

She has taken three  whippings already this year. Cool thing today is I had her out with a dsd flock and the hen came in and went straight to the stuffer! The tom appeared to be headed toward the jake but was interrupted by my buddy with a load of hevi shot to the grill!

You will love them the response is amazing!
