http://oldgobbler.com/checkstation.htmUse this link to calculate your birds score. If you are out in the field with no computer access, use the following formula to calculate the score:
- Weigh the bird in lbs./oz. and convert into decimal form.
Example: 19 lbs. 4 oz. equals 19.250
- Measure each spur and convert into decimal form. Add both spur lengths together and multiply
the combined length of both spurs X 10.
Example: 1" plus 1" equals 2" X 10=20
- Measure beard(s) length and convert into decimal form. Multiply total length X 2.
Example: 10 and 3/16" equals 10.1875 X 2 = 20.3750
- Add all measurements together for your total.
Example measurements from above would give our bird a total score of 59.6250
19.250 + 20.00 + 20.375 = 59.6250
