I have a question for those call makers who make calls on a regular basis using Ivory for their mouth pieces or elsewhere in their calls.
From the information that I have read on the website where I purchased my Ivory for my current project I know that Ivory doesn't like heat (It Checks like wood), should not be wet sanded and should be resealed when your work is completed to keep it from checking from exposure.
I have 2 questions.
1. Do You or Do You Not reseal your finished work piece (in my case it will (most likely) be a Trumpet Mouth Piece) when you are done making it.
2. If so What do you use to reseal your work when your done.
Just looking for some opinions guys. The only dumb question is the question that isn't ask so I'm asking hoping to gain some knowledge because I have never worked with this stuff before and as you all know it's to dang expensive to make a mistake with.
