Hi all, Just looking for some PM Hunting advice, This year my state has gone to all day hunting the last two weeks of the season. Never have hunted afternoon birds looking for some tips and advice on the afternoon hunts.

Not sure how I feel about all day hunting and how it will affect the birds, Probably going to put more guys in the woods

I do like the fact that I will be able to get my boys out more frequently as I will be able to get them out after school. as oppose to only on Saturdays

Hunting them in PM is not much different than hunting AM in my eyes other than knowing what the birds are doing and when, I love morning hunting the most but have done PM hunts with success but stay away from known roost sits so as not to push birds out of the area. I usually have a good idea of where the birds feed hangout and plan on being near them when hunting PM . Thinking you are from NJ since that's the only state I know of that changed the season and also since I hunt that state also, good luck.

Spitten and drummen

Mid morning and afternoon seems to be when 80 percent of my birds are killed. Sit back call soft and very little. Alot of times in the afternoon they will slip in quiet as a church mouse. I like it because even if you dont kill one, alot of times they slip in and want to roost near the hen they hear calling. Then your morning hunt is set up for you. Jmo.
