My Pronghorns have a lot of miles on them. I really like them. I've started having to put mink oil on them from time to time.' I think I got them in 09.
I was going to buy another pair and ended up buying Danner High Ground boots, feel like a comfortable tennis shoe. April & May will tell if they can stand up to the Pronghorns.  I wore them deer season, feet stayed completly dry.

I've got 3 buddies who bought Jackles last March. 2 of the 3 leak.

I just ordered a pair of Danner High Ground boots..after much researching. Hope they are as good as my Pronghorns...Pronghorn is a great boot, but I needed a lightweight non-insulated boot. Danner makes excellent boots....so does Lacrosse and Irish Setter.. That's the only three I'd consider.

I bought the Pronghorn boots two years ago and love them.  No leaks and very comfortable.  My dad bought the Jackal and since they didn't fit he gave them to me.  I have worn them once and they seemed ok.  I like the looks of them but can't really give a full review since it wasn't wet the day I had them on.

I have a pair of regular pronghorn boots that have held up in every condition I can get them into over the past 6-7 years and absolutely love them.  I am headed to Texas this year and spoke with my outfitter regarding snake boots.  He said that he has worn several different brands and has always come back to the Danner pronghorn snake boot over everything else.  He said that the comfort, durability, "snake proofness" and the ability to hold up to the thorns far exceeded any other model he has used.  So I bought a pair and have been wearing them around the house, walking in the neighborhood and on short hikes in the woods to break them in.  I think they are VERY comfortable almost right out of the box.  I'm sure will find out about the thorns but hopefully not the "snake proofness".

I have the Jackals and they are light and comfortable.  I wore them in Kansas, last spring, up and down the hills and never had any foot or leg fatigue.  I was putting about 8 to 10 miles a day in them.  The only problem I had with them was they leaked at the seams but one good coat of SnoSeal each year solves that.  If you want a boot that is light and comfortable, I highly recommend them but you may have to waterproof them from time to time.  One more thing, they won't leave your feet soaked from sweat and tired like rubber boots do.

Between the two...Pronghorns with out a doubt.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
