Ameristep Backstrap

Who here has tried it? Any other recommendations for a LARGE hunting blind? 2 people and bowhunting wise?

The Double Bull is not bad, but I would want to have to haul it every morning and set it up.

Is the Ameristep Brickhouse too small for you?

I bought a off brand possibly sportsmans guide brand from sportsmans guide for less than 100 and I can fit two full size men inside sand stay dry I'm sure you could bow hunt easily out of it

I looked at the brick house but the backstrap had 360 degree windows. And I found it for 86$

Yes I have one and it works great. Although I have only used it a couple times. I just don't like to be confined to a blind.

I recently got the Backstrap on clearance at Academy Sports.   I use it for rainy day hunts.  Mine came with a small folding camp-style chair.  Two adults in the small folding chairs is about all you could get in there comfortably.  Bow hunting with two adults may be asking too much.  The brickhouse may be a better option.

For the price I paid, I'm satisfied with it.

I just bought a Backstrap from Dunn's (online) on sale for $59.95 and free shipping.   After getting it, I set it up and learned that it is a tad smaller than the Brickhouses I have.....but not much.   It's big enough for two average size men for sure.   The shell is a more sturdy-feeling "canvasy" material than what is on my Brickhouses, by the way.  Not sure it's better, but it is thicker for sure.   Anyway, after thoroughly checking it out I felt at $59.95 it was certainly an excellent value, so I went back online at Dunn's to buy a few more....but they had gone up in price to $79.95!    At that point, I concluded that the Brickhouse (on sale for $89.95) was now the better value.   To answer your initial question though, I own a Backstrap blind and think it is well-made and a good value if you can get it $30 bucks cheaper than a Brickhouse.   Otherwise, the Brickhouse may be the better value.   That's the way I see it anyway.   Hope this helps.

The Killzone 360 may be a option but it cost 125$ shipped.The killzone 360 is about 1inch taller an around 9inches larger all around.
