Hey guys. I have a buddy that just got one of these guns. Just looking for some info on what some of you all are shooting thru this guns and the results. Thanks for the info.

I'd put a JellyHead or Kick's Gobblin Thunder choke on it and start with #5 shot and see how it does.
It's cheaper to try different loads than buying a new choke, but that Kick's .665 with #5 should have you pretty close to where you'd want to be.
The Flex model is just a Mossberg 500 with interchangeable stock/forearm right?

I believe that is correct. When I posted I was just talking with him about it. Did a little research and as far as I can tell that is all it is. I will look up the 500 and see what people are putting thru it. Thanks for the reply and thanks for the welcome.

It's an interesting concept.

As has been said, it's built around the proven 500 receiver and barrel(s). I've played with one a bit but don't own a Flex model.

I do own a some 500s in both 12 & 20 gauge. They are good guns, pattern well and there are a great variety of choke brands and exit diameters made to fit them, since they take Win-Choke, Accu-Choke and Invector (all the same) choke tubes.

I have some that work well for me as others do. The best and most consistent patterns I see are with Hevi-13 shells but I'm sure you'll have other recommendations as well.

Good luck to your Buddy and to you this turkey season.

Thanks,
Clark

Thank you Clark. I will let him know and see what all he wants to do with his gun. Thanks for the reply.
