What's the best way to remove paint

I painted my shotgun with spray on camo paint and it looks alright but I rushed it and was wanting to do a better job and take my time so it looks real nice. Any advice on what I can do to remove the paint and start fresh. It's a remington 870 with synthetic stock.

Acetone, paint thinner, or anything of that sort. Just make sure you wipe the metal down with a damp rag after you get finished so it doesn't continue to eat everything.

If it were me I'd pick a good color and paint over everything for a good base color, kinda like if you were painting a boat.
