TruGlo open sights vs red dot scope

I currently use TruGlo front and rear sights on my Browning BPS but have considered switching over to a red dot scope sight of some sort. Our season starts next week so I won't be switching this year but any input is welcome. I like the concept of the red dot but also like the ease of a follow up shot for the one time you do miss the first shot. Any preferences?

I think open lens reflex sights are the best sight type for turkey guns.  Until you use one, you dont realize that they are meant to be used with both eyes open.  when you do this, the sight rim kind of blurs out and what you see is a red dot floating out there with the target.  This makes target acquisition very fast allowing you to even use the sight for moving targets.  Tube style red dot sights do not do this as well because the tube blocks more of your vision.

As to the Tru-Glo open lens sights I used them for 5 years.  I recently built a new gun and chose to step up to an Ultradot L/T sight, but the Tru-Glo never let me down.  I will say this, they make them in camo and black.  I bought the camo and that is a mistake.  The light colored camo body reflects in the glass at times.  The flat black sight does not do this.
