Shell Capacity:
2.75" & 3.00" Factory 4+1 With Extension 6+1
3.50" Factory 3+1 With Extension 5+1
I don't really need the higher magazine capacity but the extension allows a factory load of shells to be put in the gun without bottoming out the spring and fatiguing it prematurely. The added weight of the extension and clamp amounts to about 10 ounces giving the gun the muzzle rise of a gun with a 28 inch barrel while allowing the barrel to remain short. It also gives me a point of attachment for my side mount sling.
The groove up the centerline of the Mossberg rail allows me to co-witness my front fiber optic sight looking thru the rail groove and under the reflex sight as if the rail were a peep sight.
The raised safety button allows the tang safety to be operated with the index finger. The tang safety on Mossbergs are great with a traditional stock but a pain with a pistol grip causing you to have to let go of the grip and pull the thumb up over the stock. This button allows a person to push it off with the index finger.
