Fellas,
With turkey season soon approaching i had a couple questions about ammo...  For starters i shoot a 835 and a 935 both with .675 indian creek choke tubes.  Both are 24" barrels.  What ammo would work best for my setup.  I currently have a box of magnum blends 4/5/7...  I was wondering about Hevi shot #7...  I shoot 3 1/2 in shells... Please give me some insight before i buy more shells...  Thanks TJ

Before you try any more shells I would try the Winchester Long Beard XR shells.  They have them in 3" and 3.5" in 4,5 & 6.  Check around the forums and see what everyone that has tried them think.  They will almost replace HTL at 1/2 the cost.

Since you are asking about heavier than lead here is my results from my 24" barrel 835.

Star Dot with 3.5" 6s I got 200.
Mad Max with 3.5 7s I got 230.
Star Dot with 3" Mag Blends I got 185.
Pure Gold with 3" Mag Blends I got 180.

These are averages after at least 3 shots. All are hevi shot brand.  3.5" are 2.25 oz and 3" are 2 oz.
