Have an X2 NWTF Turkey gun and the X3 would be my next gun...don't think there is a better one out there for the money at this point.  I shoot a Benelli that I've had for years at Ducks and Geese but if I was buying a gun now it would be the X3.  Definitely opt for the flat rib not cantilever...but be careful about the factory installed sights.  The ones that came on my X2 had a tall rear sight that forced me to shoot high all the time.  I tried shimming up the front sight to match it but never perfected it, finally just ripped the factory sights off and installed a TruGlo Universal Tru Bead front and rear sight and now I'm in business. GOOD LUCK... :character0029: :anim_25:

I would wait for the new Winchester SX3 Longbeard that is coming out. Looks like the coyote gun in Realtree X-Tra Green with a Briley choke tube and pistol grip.  I saw one at the Winchester booth at the NWTF in Nashville.  Very nice!

Winchester Repeating Arms

New in Winchester Repeating Arms's SX3 semi-auto shotgun line for 2014 is the SX3 12-gauge 3.5-inch Long Beard. Unique features found on this turkey gun include a Briley X-Full Long Beard Invector Plus extended choke tube designed for Winchester Long Beard ammunition, pistol-grip stock with three interchangeable recoil pads to adjust length of pull, and three interchangeable comb pieces to adjust drop on the comb. Other features include a TruGlo fiber-optic front sight with an adjustable folding rear sight and Weaver-style cantilever scope-mount-rail design on the barrel. With a 24-inch barrel, it's offered in Realtree Xtra Green camo. SRP: $1,269

Wish they would do away with that cantilever barrel. Looks sweet though!

I was very satisfied with my SX3 for the first 10,000 rounds.   Things went downhill quickly after that.  I ended up sending it back two times and the last time I had major problems with it I just bought the parts and repaired it myself instead of waiting 12 to 16 weeks to get my gun fixed.  I had problems with the bolt and magazine twice and I've had problems with the breach and trigger group.  The dura touch is anything but durable.  It looks and feels good when new but after a year in a duck blind it's quite embarrassing.

All I can say for Remington is they are heavier than most.  I only own two Remington shotguns and they are pumps so.....

Here are a few pictures of my SX3.  This is from wear and tear not abuse.  There is a reason why Benelli and Beretta can charge $600 more for a gun and they still sell the heck out of them.  I haven't shot this gun in over two years now.  It's been one of my biggest disappointments in firearms in a long time.

I did have a Browning Silver Stalker that I was also very unhappy with the DuraTouch, it flaked and peeled almost immediately.  I think a straight up dipped camo is the way to go...durable, and protects the metal to a point
