For slate scotchbrite only. A ceramic really shouldn't need conditioning, but if you find your specific ceramic surface needs roughing then you will need a stone.

Yep, green scotchbrite on slate and a stone on the ceramic surface, it is really hard and the stone on a stick works good. Scoot
