Federal FCW question
February 25, 2014, 12:33:52 AM
As preparation for the upcoming 2014 season I have been going around trying to get the best numbers I can with the Federal Mag Shok FCW shells. My current set up is a Benelli Nova 28" Barrel and the shell is Federal Mag Shok FCW 3.5" #5. I have an assortment of chokes I have rounded up for testing and I am waiting for a day to get out since there hasn't been a day above 40 yet. One of the chokes I have it's a Carlson .675 flush mount turkey choke. My question is would it be safe to shoot those shells through that choke? This may be a silly question but I have read about that wad destroying choke tubes since the wad is a lot harder than a conventional wad. Also is there any choke/choke constriction you would recommend I give a try?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Why shoot a 3.5"? Because they don't make a 4".

the FC shells are not going to destroy your choke, shoot them through the .675 choke and see what kind of patterns you get.I've had good luck with the stock full choke on some of my guns with the FC shells
it's not the harvest,it's the chase
