Mueller Quick Shot

I purchased a new Mueller quick shot camo red dot before the season started. Easy to sight it and holds zero. Its mounted on my Mossberg 535, had to add a Beartooth comb raising kit which helped alot. I did shoot one bird with it the first morning of the season. I like the sight alot but the one thing I really dont like is that the glass in the sight is REALLY REFLECTIVE! Especially when the sun is bright. I try to stay out of the sun light when Im set up working a bird. I had one bird come in and get spooked, I know I didnt move. This has happened twice now. Has anyone else noticed how shiny the glass is?? My season is half over and I would rather not take the sight off but this sight is making it tough... Any opinions or suggestions are welcome.

Don't lose sleep over it.  Many including myself have never had a problem with the reflection.  Imo a turkey will pick up on you figure 8'ing your barrel or a swaying sling quicker.

I have four season's with this sight and haven't experienced a problem, if i did i was going to research optical filters that the Military Snipers use and photographers. I use to allow my hold to aim well over the birds head to block his view of the optic until he looked away and lower the boom. But now i concentrate on the steady hold.

My initial response would be the same as the others have stated. If you still wish to do something about this problem, try attaching a piece of plastic to the metal frame around the sighting lens to act as a shade. It probably won't take a very big piece to completely remove any reflection on the front of the lens.
I have seen some rifle scopes with similar features.

I also was concerned about the shiny front of my Truglo spooking a turkey.  The turkeys I shot this season didn't seemed to be affected by it but they were not close.
