Ive been thinking about buying a IC for my 870, but wasn't sure about its performance with PB. This may help make the purchase.

Two things:

#1. It seems that the 10" numbers I get with Lead #5's have been anywhere from nearly as good, to even better than the 10" numbers with Lead #6's, depending upon the shell being used.  My 870 and BPS almost seem to favor #5's in Lead.  Magnum Blend, Hevi13 #6's, Hevi13 #7's, and Win XRHD #6's have also patterned well.  Both my 870 and BPS have 3" chambers.

#2. The patterns through the RemChoke Indian Creek .665 got better with use.  I started to see improved numbers after putting 30 to 40 rounds through it.  The INV+ Indian Creek .665 is a SS model, and it patterned fabulous right out of the box.

Thank you.  I am convinced that there are several really good choke companies out there.  I believe that Indian Creek is among the creme of the crop.

But I have seen a bunch of unbelievable Winchester Longbeard patterns being posted which were shot out of SumToy chokes.  He has got those shells figured out for sure!!!

I also have a high opinion of Pure Gold chokes.  The one choke of his that I used to own did put up good numbers that were right there with my Indian Creek chokes' numbers, but not as even.  The one I had was a .665 but I should have tried a .670
