I'm looking to get some recommendations on this setup. Has anyone had any experience or know anyone who has experience with this combo? I know I used to own a Benelli Nova 20 gauge with 28" barrel with a rhino choke and shooting 3" Nito's shot 4x5x7 triplex and it threw a nasty pattern all the way out to 50 yds, for a 20 gauge I wouldn't hesitate to shoot at 55yds with it if I had too. hard to believe I know, but I'm looking to get the exact same setup but a 12 gauge instead. And I just wanted some opinions, comments, thoughts on this combo. Anything at all...??

I have no idea about a benelli I have never owned one. But I have several rhinos only one 12ga and its in a win 1300 but it is unbelievable, hurts though. I just don't understand why you would want to go to a 12 if you know what his 20ga's are capable of. Shoot his mega's and its even crazier than the hevi  blends. As long as he is making shells I will never shoot a 12ga again. Only choke I have ever gotten results different from what he advertised was a jelly head in a 20 ga 1187 it wasn't good. Nitros LOVE rhinos! Never seen anything hit like his megas out of a 20, a 12 game would be brutal! Lol

I have a Nova, a very old one with a 24" barrel currently and it's a very good gun. The trigger was terrible and it was very stiff overall when it was new. I dry fired it a lot and then took it to the range, any range, any time I was shooting and shot it as much as possible. I also loaned it to anyone who wanted to shoot and now it's as slick and smooth as any pump gun that I own.

I don't shoot Nitros so can't be of any help to you there. I do shoot a lot of Hevi-13 shells and they pattern exceptionally well. There are several chokes that work well, most in the .640 to .655 range, depending upon the "internals".

Good luck with your Nova.

Thanks,
