Way too many shotguns

I did not think that I could ever have too many shotguns, at one time but after trying to get them all, I have decided that I really do have too many. I tried to buy them all and was pretty successful. I also tried to buy all the barrels that were available for each gun and again was pretty successful with that.

As I grow older and and as I have tested most of the chokes and shells that are out there and those that are likely to be be, it seems to make sense to get rid of some of my shotguns.

I have to admit that I' have become attached to some of them. I have memories of what they have done from year to year. It's an emotional attachment I know, and so I've decided to let some of them go, including the custom guns, including some rifles, pistols and revolvers.

I had some friends in this week to take what they'd like and have asked my 2 sons to take what they'd like.

It's really all about getting older and realizing what's important and what will happen  when you're gone.

I really appreciate OG for letting us expressing ourselves in all the phases of our lives.

Thanks,
Clark

Funny how we all get so involved in work or play that life slips by us all.  We wake up one day look around and think wow when did we miss that.

Thanks to OG also.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.

No, not ready to give it up at all. I just have too many duplications and decided that it's time to share some of them with friends and family. I'll be sure to keep some "toys" and the more popular ones that people still want to know about.

Several years ago, I did the same thing with choke tubes. I'd been buying them for a long time, so I'd know what shot well with what. Some had fallen out of favor and no one was inquiring about them anymore, so I let a bunch go.

Thinning the herd.

Clark

You wouldn't happen to have a Stardot Turkey Choke for a Mossberg 835 would ya?

allaboutshooting

Sorry. Not any more.

Thanks,
Clark

I had a situation years ago when my uncle and father passed away I inherited a hoard of firearms, it was a ridiculous plethora of shotguns - it was so bad it would take 30 minutes to get something's out of the back of my safe - I had them stacked in there tight , then put another 15 muzzle down to fit those in

I couldn't bare to part with sentimental items so I started just literally giving out my own duplicate guns , and keeping theirs - I just came to the realization that I'm 43 yearns old , in 25 years or less I will be getting too old to hunt certain things ...and I too will end up one day passing on , and leaving a hoard of guns like my dad and uncle - some are darn nice

Right now I'm rounding down my hunting shotguns , the turkey's in Florida will go extinct before I run out of ammo for my sp10 Remington, and my Remington versamax literally made about 4 of my other shotguns redundant - I shoot very well with it , and can't see myself needing another wingshooting gun in my lifetime ---- I'm not buying any more shotguns - I'm done -

Decided to give away a bennelli nova turkey gun this week my cousin or my buddies nephew will get it probably - if not I'll sell it
